The Performing Dance Company begins choreography in August to be performed at
public exhibitions, dance productions, the June Recital and competitions.
Dance Class Requirements
Throughout the season dancers must attend weekly and weekend Company Classes,
which may be scheduled on two different days of the week. Weekend rehearsals
will also be scheduled as needed.
At a minimum, members must be enrolled in at least three classes at Sugarloaf Performing Arts
during the regular school season: a graded ballet class, a graded jazz class and a graded modern class. Additional classes
are required for higher company levels.
Audition Requirements
To audition, dancers must be placed on either a Ballet 2a, 2b, 3, 4, 5a or 5b level.
Dancers who are interested in auditioning are strongly encouraged to register and attend summer sessions at SPA.
Company Candidates must attend an audition in August. Call for more information.
